Laura Carter

I enjoy the variety of work that I am presented with as a private client solicitor.  I aim to assist my clients in an approachable and empathetic manner with an understanding of their key objectives and the practical solutions available to them.

Background

Laura studied law at the University of York and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, York. Laura qualified as a solicitor in 2015. She trained and qualified at a national firm based in Leeds. Laura is from Pickering and is pleased to have returned to the locality. Her family has a firm background in farming.

Laura is a member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers, a group of lawyers that specialise in working with older and vulnerable clients, and a Dementia Friend, which means that she has carried out training on what it is like to live with dementia and the small ways she can help those people who are living with the condition.

Laura will be assisting Emma Elwess in the Private Client team with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as Probate and Estate Administration.
