Ware & Kay Solicitors are getting ready to celebrate the most prestigious and most difficult bicycle race in history by hosting its own Breakfast Barbeque with musical accompaniment.
Amongst the millions of fans who plan on flocking to York over 300 hundred people will be attending a private party to cheer on the champions of the sport and join the spectacle of fans.
The festivities will kick off on Sunday 6th July, with an event very close to the route, staged at their York offices at Sentinel House, Peasholme Green, which includes an early breakfast barbeque and an impressive band.
Frankly Jazz, the local musicians from Harrogate, will add a touch of class to the private party, and entertain the guests with a sophisticated performance making it a memorable occasion for everyone.
Peter Kay, Senior Partner said "The eyes of the world will be on York as the Grand Depart of the Tour de France takes place here and what better way to use this fantastic opportunity to showcase the event than with our own Barbeque. This has been an opportunity to engage people with what is definitely the biggest event York has ever seen. It has certainly captured the imagination and triggered some excitement and has given people a chance to get involved. This is definitely York's time to shine".
Ware & Kay's Tour de France Breakfast Barbeque was an instant success with tickets selling out 9 months prior to the event.
In addition, Ware & Kay is extremely proud and delighted to sponsor Mike Hughes from York who is taking part in the ultimate cycling experience in aid of Marie Curie as part of the Power Peloton on Saturday 5th July.
As a member of Marie Curie's Power Peloton Mike is part of a select group of just 15 riders on stage one who will cycle just a few hours ahead of Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish and other professional riders.
Mike has pledged to raise £19,000, enough to fund a nurse for a year for Marie Curie Cancer Care, the official charity partner of the Grand Départ. Ware & Kay have supported Mike from the start of his fundraising marathon and kicked off the money raising with a donation of £1,000. Mike is well on track to achieving the target and has raised a massive £18,651 so far. On the back of Ware & Kay's support many businesses throughout York are now helping with Mike's fundraising challenge.
